What a great take and a wonderful reminder of days waiting in the Drs. office reading Highlights magazine.

Back then I really tried to be a Gallant.

Apparently, now I am closer to being a Goofus.

You lost either way Dave. Gallant was a panzy but Goofus' name was so uncool.

I do appreciate the great irony of Repsac's feature. I wonder if animation will make the deluded right take notice of their hypocrisy?

I had a subscription... (A gift, from a crazy aunt who lived in europe, most of the time..) But yes, they were in every one of my Dr's offices as a kid, too.

Goofus always seemed to have more fun, and I'd be willing to put up with the name, if fun was the game... (though I'd imagine that poor Goofus is fat, outta work, and spends most of his time in a drunken stupor, these days... Too much hard livin' and not enough plannin' for his future, in his younger years...)
